Location
St John’s Grove is on the north side of Harrogate within the thriving community of Bilton, served by its own working men’s club, a Methodist, Catholic and Anglican church, a library, youth club, ladies-only gym, filling station, library, fish and chip shops, takeaways, post office, hairdressers, and a selection of convenience stores. Schools nearby include Coppice Valley Primary and St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary – both rated “outstanding” at their last Ofsted inspections – and New Park Primary and Richard Taylor Primary, both rated “good”. The recently-rebuilt Harrogate High School is the closest secondary school and is also rated good by Ofsted. Buses services run regularly into the town centre from nearby Skipton Rd with connecting services to York and Leeds offered by Northern Rail. The Bilton community also stages its own May Day gala every year, including a colourful parade through the streets.
In our opinion - with good schools nearby and amenities including a number of recreational options - it would best suit a growing family or perhaps a couple downsizing from a larger home.
